RESEARCH

IN NOVEMBER 2013 AT DOCKLANDS STUDIOS MELBOURNE DATA WAS COLLECTED FOR AN INVESTIGATION TO PROVIDE PROOF OF CONCEPT
OF 3D SHADOWOGRAPHY.

A 20,000 watt tungsten light was positioned 14 meters above the floor. Golf professionals hit balls towards the light and were filmed using 3D motion analysis. Also filmed were the shadows cast by the hands and clubhead during the downswing. These were later digitised for motion analysis.
